This mask is lightweight, soft, and comfortable with a substantial, adjustable elastic band that keeps it in place. It had an unusual aroma to it when I took it out of the package, but the smell went away within a day. It effectively blocks out 95% of the light (there's always an issue with covering the sides of the nose), and let me tell you, the quality of my sleep has improved dramatically since I started using this mask a couple of weeks ago. I got two, one to wash and one to wear. I don't think I'll go to sleep without this mask again unless I'm in a sensory deprivation chamber!

This Product does everything one would expect from its large area coverage and extra padded thickness. The time of day is insignificant when wearing this mask for short periods of relaxation or longer periods of restful sleep.

When venetian blinds wiped out all use of the traditional "Pull-down Roll-up Window Shade" in the USA I was left with no way to get a good night sleep during the day. Room darkening blinds still do not seem to seal out the light enough. This mask was comfortable and let me sleep anywhere in an emergency, like in a car when the roomate is partying and the sun is about to come up, in a bedroom with venetian blinds before a night shift at work, or while the roomate does homework with the light on all night. Feels good sleeping on all sides.

This is the second time I've purchased this set of two sleep masks. Why, may you ask, do I need four? Because they keep disappearing!! I simply can't understand why every few months I go to bed with one of them on and wake up with it completely gone - not under the bed or anywhere I can locate on the planet. But the loss of my second one a few weeks ago has left me so desolate (and blinded by the light). So despite exploring reviews of other sleep masks here, I'm getting the same ones again. Not only are they two for the price of one, but they're perfectly effective in blocking light and quite comfortable. My only criticism is their tendency to disappear <-: and the fact that they do put very slight pressure on my eyelids, which is occasionally annoying. Although a person with many allergies, I detect no troublesome scent, as some reviewers do. These sleep masks are also very soft to the touch (silky), andunlike some of the plain ones featured on Amazon, they are quite attractive.

Love these eye masks so much I ordered some for my daughters and now my husband's almost ready to try. I fall asleep so much faster wearing this mask. It has an extra padded silk flap on the inside lower half that gently rests against your lids and blocks light from below. My mask had no discernible scent but the second pair I ordered (set of 2 is a great price!) had a lavender scent that is really unnecessary. We hung them out on the doorknob for 1 day and it dissipated. Not a problem!
